I've been trying to take more pictures of "normal" stuff, so here are a few of them. Like cooking and eating pancakes. I finally got out one of my 3-gallon buckets that I use to store grain for Mathew to use as a stool - a little higher and much more stable.

Peter the Bookworm opted for a book instead of pancakes. We just finished reading The Black Stallion (the full version) today, and Peter read well over half of it aloud to me. Then we made a map of all their travels for his reading journal. He's already begging to read the next book in the series.

Welcome home from work, Daddy!

We were talking about tides for science this week, so we found a very muddy, but not-so-rainy spot to measure how much the tide went out in the time that it took to get our teeth cleaned at the dentist.

We met a friend at the apple park and are well-supplied to make lots of applesauce tomorrow. But the highlight was rolling down the hill - over and over again.

Peter has suddenly taken an interest in doing crafts, especially things that involve paper and glue. Here's a kingly crown he made for Patrick with my dead, dried up birthday roses. He made his own crown with rose petals and dandelions.

I also had the privilege of trying to explain to Patrick why it isn't appropriate to ask, "Mommy, why is your bottom so big?" (No picture of that one!!!) I also heard the words "Either poop or get off the potty!" come out of my own mouth. (No picture of that one either!)
We've had lots of fun watching my belly dance and getting excited for our new little brother. Sometimes I think this little kid is trying to climb out through my belly button!
And so life goes on with three (four?) busy little boys...
