Slacker!

I must admit that I've been a little remiss in posting to the blog.  Actually, I haven't taken many pictures lately either.  But Peter has kept the camera going...

Patrick and Mathew turned the rain garden into a mud pit last week.  I guess they get it honestly!
Jacob enjoyed the fun from the safety of the deck.
Peter's still fascinated with his microscope...
The remains of molting aphids

Aphid rear ends.  If you look closely you can see the drops of "honeydew"
that ants enjoy so much.
We finally got to make parachutes for Colombia...

Peter on the violin

Bach's Minuet #2 at his studio class on Monday.
So this isn't the best video in the world, but I figured that grandparents at least would appreciate it.  Considering that Peter had done a face plant and busted both lips and his nose about 2 hours before, he did pretty well.  Jacob was fascinated with the camera and was trying to help at the beginning.

Sunny Day

Mathew got up from his nap and decided to help himself to a snack.  Apparently he inherited more than his name from his dad!
Mat got a wetsuit, and the store threw in these great swimcaps.  So these two had to take a bath and try them out.
We all enjoyed the warm sunshine today!
Peter helped me plant the beans and make a tent over them.

Farmer boys!

2 Moms and 9 Kids... Go Hiking in the Rain!

We decided that vertical rain in the rain forest was better than horizontal rain at the beach, so we packed up for a picnic and hike at Quinalt.  The little guys had a blast splashing and throwing rocks, but the older kids were a little less enthusiastic.
Jacob was the most snug and dry, and apparently enjoyed his ride.
