Point Defiance Zoo

The boys got zoo passes from the library, so we made a trek to the zoo in August.

A great birthday

To celebrate my birthday, we went to a dairy farm and checked out their methane digester.  Very cool!  (Don't worry, my friend made sure I had chocolate too)

This little calf was only a couple hours old.

We stopped at Snoqualmie Falls on the way home.

Catching Up

Wow, I just realized that I haven't posted since July!! How the time flies!

We dog-sat for a while, but I think the boys spent more time in the kennel than the dog.

Jacob helped himself to a little snack, and I found him hiding behind the kitchen counters.  This was while he was still on his grain-free diet. 

Air Show

We found a great spot to watch the McChord Air Show this weekend, right next to our van and in the shade of an oak tree.  The boys spent most of their time running around in the tall grass and catching grasshoppers.

Biking the Bridge

 I took all the boys to pedal across the Tacoma Narrows and back today.  Mathew's really enjoying being free of his training wheels!

That last hill is the toughest part of the whole ride.

So far, July has been cold enough to justify blankets and sweats, but we've still been able to enjoy some good sword fights!

May Mischief

The swing that I got for my birthday was finally finished and hung.  I've even gotten to sit in it a couple times.

Jacob discovered how to take the tops off the markers.   

Time for a run!

Mat and I took in a baseball game for one of our dates.  The Mariners got stomped, but that's nothing new.

 We had a collective total of 14 doctors visits in May.  If you know me, you know that's more than our annual average.  Peter fell and got 11 stitches in his shin, but I talked him into taking the stitches out himself.  He was pretty brave about it.
