Mat and I took advantage of visiting grandparents to get away for a night. We went to an amazing bed & breakfast in Long Beach. We got in on Friday night and had an incredible dinner. We went for a beautiful, warm walk (or hobble) on the beach before breakfast, complete with a rainbow and bald eagle.
After a gourmet breakfast, we explored the Lewis and Clark state park. This is the North Head lighthouse.
And a friendly little porcupine eating his lunch, completely unruffled by the tourists taking his picture.
I walked out on the north jetty, so here is the North Head lighthouse again.
About 200 pelicans liked the jetty too!
A ship, barge, tugboat, and fishing boat in the mouth of the Columbia River. The land in the distance is Oregon.
Cape Disappointment Lighthouse. Mat wasn't up for hiking/crutching up to that one.
But he sure was tired on the way home. Funny, I thought he only made that face on purpose!
