Peter had a great birthday, starting with a candle in his pancake. His brothers got candles in their pancakes too. Then we went to Cabela's to play in the shooting gallery and drool over the archery sets.
As usual, Peter requested mud cake. We didn't have any carrots to "plant" in it this year, so I raided our neighbors' yards for dandelions. We also made improvements by adding tapioca slug eggs and chocolate rocks in addition to the gummy worms. 10 kids and lots of sugar made for a loud and lively evening.
Even pirates can enjoy a nice soft shirt.
